A role focused on providing professional secretarial and administrative support to the Board of Directors and Board Committees, ensuring the effective functioning of the company’s governance framework and providing legal advisory and litigation support.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating and managing statutory and stakeholders’ meetings.
- Maintaining governance documentation and ensuring compliance with corporate governance best practices.
- Ensuring compliance with corporate governance laws, regulations and framework.
- Assisting in drafting, review of various legal and governance documents.
- Provide legal drafting, advisory, and litigation support as needed.
- Ensuring proper handling and safe keeping of documents.
- Any other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English and Mathematics/Accounts.
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent.
- Member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe in good standing.
- Masters and/or professional qualification an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years post-admission working experience in a corporate governance or legal environment.
- Experience in corporate law and governance principles.
- Excellent minute-taking, drafting, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Professional, integrity discretion, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Handle confidential information.
- Possesses strong soft skills.
- Proficiency in productivity software and digital governance platforms.
