Job Overview and Responsibilities
The Legal Officer reports to the Executive Director of the Commission . The Main responsibility will be to provide legal advice to the commission .
Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing Legal Advice to the Commission in accordance with the set parameters
- Drafting and reviewing , legislation , Statutory Instruments , Directives , and Circulars
- Attend public hearing on legislation affecting the Commision
- Conducting legal research
- Advise the Commission on regulatory Compliance matters in accordance with applicable legislation , set standards and international best practice
- Analyse and identify legal risk and implications

Required Qualifications and Experience
- A law Honours Degree from reputable university
- Be a registered member of the law society of Zimbabwe
- A certificate in legislative drafting is a distinct advantage
- A Masters Degree in Law is an added advantage
- At least 5 years post qualification experience
- An appreciation of company secretarial compliance duties
