VACANCY 

Zimasco (Pvt) Limited, a major player in Zimbabwe’s Ferrochrome production, is offering an exciting and challenging career opportunity. Applications are invited from suitably qualified, competent, and experienced individuals to fill the position of Legal Advisor on a 3-year Fixed-Term employment contract basis, renewable subject to performance.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Laws Honours degree (LLB) from a reputable institution.

• Minimum of eight (8) years’ work experience in a legal-related environment.

• Should be conversant in mining, commercial, criminal, and labour laws of Zimbabwe.

• Ability to interpret and apply laws, rules, and regulations relative to work situations.

• A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality.

• Should be highly computer literate.

Key Performance Areas

• Advising management on legal and corporate governance matters.

• Managing litigation to ensure minimal exposure to the Company.

• Reviewing and providing advice on all contracts.

• Developing and maintaining a legal database for the Company.

• Keeping the company up to date with all relevant changes and pending changes in legislation.

• Periodically revising procedures, reports, etc., to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.

• Interfacing with regulatory authorities and industrial bodies on behalf of the Company on legal and corporate governance matters.
