Faculty of the Built Environment
The University seeks to recruit applicants with requisite qualifications, skills and experience for the
following posts in the Faculty of the Built Environment: –
(Position location: Main Campus, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe)
Applicants must have at least a post-graduate Bachelor of Architecture Degree or a Master’s
Degree in Architecture or an equivalent qualification. An earned PhD is a must for applicants
for Associate Professorship. Registration with Architectural Professional Bodies will be an
added advantage.
Successful applicants should be competent to teach Design Studio, as well as any other two
(2) of the following modules such as: Construction Technology; Topics in Rural Design;
Research Methods; History & Theory of Architecture; Environmental Design; Building
Services & Systems; Sustainable Design; Building Information Modelling (BIM); and or
Professional Practice and Management.
Evidence of scholarly and professional contribution which includes a portfolio of major
design works may be required.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
