Duties And Responsibilities
The successful candidate should be able to:
Teach some of the following courses in Social Work: Social Work Ethics and Values, Social Work with Groups and Communities, Counselling, Social Work in Humanitarian Organizations and Integrated Social Work, Child Welfare, Integrated Social Work and Clinical Social Work. The Department reserves the right to allocate courses for teaching;
To contribute to the achievement of Education 5.0 by the Department through University teaching, research, community engagement, innovation and industrialisation;
Advise students, collaborate with the Faculty on research within and across Departments;
Publish in peer-reviewed journals, seek and obtain external funding;
Supervise students’ projects and dissertation.
Qualifications And Experience
A Master of Science degree in Social Work passed with at least a merit class;
Foundation first degree of Social Work;
A PhD in Social Work would be an added advantage;
At least two (2) years Social work practice;
The Curriculum Vitae should contain a detailed list of publications. Proven record to mobilise funds will be an added advantage;
Registered with the Council of Social Work.
