- The candidate must also be able to advise students and collaborate with faculty on research within and across Departments, contribute to the achievement of Education 5.0 by the Department through University Teaching, Research, Community Engagement, Innovation and Industrialisation and supervise students’ projects and dissertations.

- The candidate must hold a Master of Science Degree in Social Work and a foundational First Degree in Social Work.
- A PhD in Social Work will be an added advantage.
- The candidate must also be registered with the Council of Social Work.
