Key Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be expected to engage actively in research and innovation in any research themes of Statistical Data Science, producing high-impact outputs that lead to tangible solutions, technologies or services
- The candidate will be required to teach a range of modules, including Statistical Learning, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Big Data Analytics, Bayesian Statistics, Multivariate Analysis, Computational Statistics and Applied Data Science
- They will also be required to contribute effectively to teaching, postgraduate supervision and the overall academic development of the department
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Applied Statistics, Statistical Modelling or related fields
- Related fields include Operations Research, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Computational Science, Applied Mathematics, Actuarial Science and Mathematical Statistics
- BSc (Hons) degree in Statistics, Data Science, Applied Statistics, Operation Research & Statistics, Statistical Modelling or related fields
- Applicants must have at least of five (5) “O” level passes including Mathematics and English Language
- Holding a PhD in Data Science or Statistics will be considered an added advantage
- The candidate should have a minimum of six (6) months university teaching experience as a tutor, lecturer or teaching assistance
