Key Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities for these academic positions are grouped into five main categories:

1. Teaching

   • Deliver lectures and teach modules in accordance with Department and Faculty guidelines and standards.

2. University Service

   • Participate in Department, Faculty, and University activities, including meetings, training workshops, conferences, and seminars.

3. Research

   • Engage in active research within your area of specialization, benefiting both students and the University.

4. Innovations

   • Lead and contribute to innovations that result in tangible products and services.

5. Industrialization

   • Promote the commercialization of products developed through research and innovation.

Qualifications

• A first degree in Peace Studies, Human Rights, War Studies, or Political Sciences with at least a 2.1 pass.

• A Master’s Degree in Peace, Human Rights, War Studies, Political Sciences, or any other relevant field.

• A relevant PhD is an added advantage.

Specific Duties

Candidates must be able to supervise students’ research work and teach the following modules:

• Security Intelligence

• Transnational Organised Crime

• Migration and Human Security

• Human Rights and Social Justice

• Research Methods and Statistics
