Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Applied Biology and Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a closely related discipline.
• A Master’s degree in Post-Harvest Technology, Food Science, or a related field is mandatory.
• A minimum of two (2) years of industrial or academic experience in the relevant field.
• At least three (3) publications in peer-reviewed journals or book chapters.
• A qualification or certification in Project Management is an added advantage.
• Strong background in curriculum development, research supervision, and academic writing.

Additional Competencies:

• Demonstrated expertise in delivering content in:
• Food Microbiology
• Analytical and Organic Chemistry
• Flavour Technology and Food Additives
• Food Science and Technology modules
• Proficiency in modern teaching and learning technologies (e.g., e-learning platforms, digital teaching tools).
• Capacity to develop and supervise student-led research projects with industry relevance.
• Ability to integrate entrepreneurship education, promote innovation, and guide students in product development, startup ideation, and commercialization of innovations.
• Engagement with industry and research institutions for collaborative projects and student exposure is a plus.
