Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Sort linen, uniforms, and guest laundry according to fabric type, colour, and washing requirements.
• Identify and report stained, damaged, or missing items.
• Operate washing machines and dryers in accordance with prescribed procedures.
• Use correct detergents, chemicals, and washing cycles for different fabrics.
• Iron, press, and fold laundry neatly to required standards.
• Prepare clean linen and uniforms for distribution or storage.
• Apply appropriate stain removal techniques and chemicals safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of linen and uniform issuance and returns.
• Ensure adequate stock levels of clean linen at all times.
• Keep the laundry area clean, organised, and hygienic.
• Clean and maintain laundry equipment and work surfaces daily.
• Dispose of waste, lint, and chemical containers in line with environmental and lodge policies.

Qualifications:

• 5 O Levels
• Certificate in Hospitality is an added advantage
• 1-2 years’ experience in a laundry, housekeeping, lodge, hotel, or institutional environment
• Knowledge of fabric care, washing symbols, and stain removal techniques.
