Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, planning, and implementation of landscape-level conservation programmes in the KAZA Hwange landscape.
- Translate strategic priorities into clear, actionable operational workplans and ensure their timely execution.
- Provide support to Wildlife Authorities, applying adaptive management approaches that respond to field evidence, changing conditions, and emerging conservation risks.

Requirements
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as wildlife management, natural resource management, ecology, environmental science, forestry, or a related conservation discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, and community-based natural resource management (CBNRM) approaches.
- A minimum of seven (7) years’ advanced experience managing integrated conservation and natural resource programmes, with mastery in landscape planning and programmatic oversight within a transfrontier or large landscape context.
- A proven track record in financial management and grant compliance, with experience working to the standards of major international conservation funders.
- Solid experience in the design and implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) frameworks, including results-based management and adaptive management approaches.
- Knowledge of the KAZA Transfrontier Conservation Area landscape, Zimbabwe’s national parks and wildlife management frameworks, and the relevant legal and policy environment is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working with national parks authorities, government departments, and community structures in Zimbabwe is an advantage.
