Reports to: Lands and Environment Officer Station
Station: Mamina Head office
Roles And Responsibilities
- Supports the Lands and Environment Officer in all clerical duties of the Lands Department.
- These include but not limited to: Preparation of Lands and Environment departmental and Committee meetings Secretariat to various Lands and Environment Department meetings
- Entering of natural resources inventory, mining claims, EIA and EMP monitoring reports
- Establishing and keeping of communal land database
- Assist in the monitoring of Council income generating projects, community projects and tree planting activities
- Responding to general enquiries from the public regarding environmental and agricultural issues
- Assists in the preparation of the Department’s monthly reports Organising environmental clean-up campaigns with stakeholders
- Production and issuing of notices and formal/informal letters, at the request of Lands and Environment Officer
- Maintenance of permits/applications register
- Prepare maps and drawings for all environmental hotspots
Qualifications And Experience
- 5’0′ Levels including Maths and English Language.
- National Diploma in Forestry and or Natural Resources Management
- Should be at least 25 years to 35 years
- Computer literate and proven ability to use GIS packages
- Ability to organize, prioritize workload and to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Able to ride a motorbike and willing to do field work
- At least 3 years working experience
