VACANCY
JOB PURPOSE
The incumbent will be responsible for field observations and measurements in the execution of cadastral, engineering and topographical surveys and implements performance management in the team.
KEY RESULT AREAS
* Liaises with the Department of Surveyor General and other relevant stakeholders for acquisition of data searches.
* Executes survey field work for cadastral surveys (title survey, non-title lease surveys, beacon relocation surveys, etc).
* Executes survey field work for topographical surveys.
* Executes survey field work for engineering surveys,
* Carries out reductions and computations of observations for the preparation and production of relevant plans and documents.
* Controls and ensures safety and service of equipment in his/her team.
* Recommends budgetary and equipment requirements to the Land Surveyor/senior
* Implements performance management and supervises subordinates.’
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* At least 5 “O” Levels including Mathematics, Science and English.
* Passes in A Level Science subjects are an added advantage
* National Diploma in Surveying and Geomatics, or acceptable equivalent from a recognized institution of Higher Learning.
* A Higher National Diploma or a degree in Surveying and Geomatics or acceptable equivalent from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
* Membership of any relevant professional body (ZIG, SIZ, ZIE).
* At least two years’ experience working in both Cadastral Surveying and Engineering Surveying environment.
* Experience in the use of optical, electronic and GNSS survey equipment.
* Knowledge of Survey Calculations and Computer Aided Design software.
* A clean class 4 (or superior) driver’s license is an added advantage
