Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepares all samples for analyses including; data entry of sample information; loading and unloading bottle roll machine; crushing and pulverizing samples; handling reject returns; and operating the AAS machine.
- Preparation of all Mine, Exploration and Metallurgical Lab Plant samples.
- Maintains complete and accurate records of all samples in the logbook and the computer database.
- Performs daily housekeeping tasks and the routine maintenance of preparation equipment.
- Adheres to the company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct.
- Works without risk or harm to self and others.
- Performs other related functions as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications And Experience
- At least 2 years working in a gold mining environment
- Diploma in Metallurgical assaying or equivalent
- Two years previous experience in a mining Industry will be an added advantage
- Must be computer literate
- Must be in possession of a class 4 Driver’s License
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work, cope and produce results under pressure
