Key Responsibilities
- Lead the establishment and operation of the on-site laboratory.
- Implement laboratory systems and ISO/IEC 17025 quality management frameworks.
- Manage laboratory budgets, staffing, procurement, and equipment maintenance.
- Oversee grade control, metallurgical, and environmental sample analysis.
- Drive QA/QC programmes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Produce laboratory performance reports.
Requirements
- BSc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of laboratory experience.
- At least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Mining or mineral processing laboratory experience.
- ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation experience is an advantage.
- Expertise in fire assay, ICP-OES/MS, AAS, XRF, wet chemistry, LIMS, and QA/QC.
