Location: Kamativi Mining Company

Applications are invited for person with a relevant qualifications to apply for the post. Laboratory Assistant must have a solid foundation in science subjects such as biology, physics and chemistry.
Previous experience as a Lab Assistant can be beneficial for this position.

Responsibilities

Receive samples from areas in the Plant and other clients.
Dry, weigh, and split samples per standards, specification, and work instructions.
Ensure samples are sieved and responsible to crush and mill samples correctly (PSD).
Ensure that Quality Control Processes are being monitored and report on them continuously.
Capture and process data accurately and attend to waste management processes
Build, manage, and maintain healthy relations with stakeholders to assist in the achievement of organizational goals.
Report defective equipment to the Plant Call Centre and supervisor immediately.

Ensure the work environment complies with all legal, health, and safety practices always
Ensure the promotion of a safety culture to contribute to the SHEQ objectives.
Identify unsafe practices and situations and report it to the Supervisor or SHEREP
Ensure all required housekeeping duties are completed
Should be familiar with
Atomic absorption spectrometer visible ultraviolet spectrophotometer

Requirements

National Diploma
A bachelor degree will be an added advantage
Minimum experience 2 years
Computer literacy
