To competently use and operate laboratory equipment in accurately carrying out product process analysis in shift work.
Duties And Responsibilities
Carrying out analysis of:
(i) Boiler water from source through treatment and troubleshooting problems with boiler water residual chemicals.
(ii) Cane syrup,
(iii) Plant effluent,
(iv) Fermentation.
(v) Final product (ETHANOL) all as received from the Sampler.
• Presenting analysis results to the Lab Supervisor at set intervals.
• Monitoring, calibrating, housekeeping and reporting laboratory equipment performance to the Lab Supervisor.
Qualifications And Experience
• Degree in Applied Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biology/Biotechnology or equivalent.
• At least 2years experience in an ethanol/chemical or food industry.
• Conversant with Lab analysing equipment.
• A team player with good communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
