JBC (Zimbabwe) is seeking to recruit a Loss Control Officer to spearhead our security and risk management strategies. Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Surveillance & Security Enhancement
• Assess, improve, and oversee surveillance systems to detect and prevent theft, pilferage, and unauthorized access.
• Develop and implement
modern security technologies and measures to protect
company assets.
• Train and manage security personnel to ensure competence, alertness, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
Investigations & Intelligence Gathering
• Lead internal investigations into theft, fraud, and policy breaches, ensuring evidence-based conclusions.
• Strengthen intelligence-gathering mechanisms to proactively identify security threats.
• Work closely with law enforcement agencies to resolve security-related issues effectively.
Risk Management & Policy Implementation
• Develop and enforce comprehensive risk management policies and procedures tailored to our company’s operations.
• Conduct security audits and loss trend analysis, providing strategic recommendations for improvement.
• Establish proactive risk mitigation strategies to prevent financial and asset losses.
Employee Awareness & Ethical Conduct Mainstreaming
• Conduct security and risk awareness training for employees at all levels.
• Cultivate a culture of integrity, vigilance, and adherence to company security policies.
• Monitor and evaluate staff compliance with loss prevention strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualification and Experience
* A degree/diploma in Security Management, Risk Management, Criminology, or a related field.
* At least 3-5 years of experience in security, investigations, or loss prevention within a corporate or industrial setting.
Applicants with a clean record of service from Zimbabwe uniformed forces working in
forensic investigations and surveillance systems is a distinct advantage.
