Career Opportunity Junior Software Engineer

As a Junior Software Engineer reporting directly to the Group Head of Transformation, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end web applications. You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality software solutions that meet our business needs

Key Responsibilities

• Process and UI/UX design
• Process design,
• Visio/UML, etc.
• UI/UX design & Prototyping
• Figma/Adobe
• Software and Development: Full-stack developer, designing, developing and maintaining scalable web applications using modern technologies and frameworks across the full stack (front-end and back-end) like Java, JavaScript, Ionic, React, GIT, Visual Studio, Jenkins and Database design (NoSQL).
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with product owners, UX/UI designers, and other team members within the Agile Scrum team to gather requirements, provide feedback, and hand-over on various projects. Continuous and open communication to all stakeholders during the change life cycle.
• Code Quality: Ensure code quality through best practices, code reviews, and testing methodologies. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Linters, formatters, and static analysis tools.
• Integration: Implement integration with APIs, ESB and third-party services to enhance application functionality.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure apps load quickly, reduce battery consumption, optimizing network traffic and communication between end and third-party systems.
• (Cyber)Security: Ensure Security and Cybersecurity measures are implemented using data encryption, Secure Authentication, code-reviews and pen-testing.

Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies:

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
• Strong experience with server-side languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java) and familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
• Understanding of UI/UX design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering solutions in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Senior Developer with a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
