JOB DESCRIPTION
Applications are invited to fill the position of Junior School Head at Eaglesvale School, commencing January 2022. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding educationalist who is committed to delivering a broad curriculum to diverse learners, engaging staff and building the confidence of parents.
The core duties of the post comprise of:
- Implementing all aspects of the Junior School curriculum.
- Managing all Junior School staff development and appraisal.
- Supervising other staff and contractors working in the Junior School.
- Building strong relations with parents, ensuring they are involved in and informed about their children’s learning, well being, activities and progress.
- Leading in the day to day running and overall development of Eaglesvale Junior School.
- Formulating the aims and objectives of the school, establishing the policies through which they are to be achieved, managing staff and resources, and monitoring progress to that end.
- Ensuring that the highest standards of behaviour, learning and academic attainment prevail across the School, and maintaining and extending the School’s reputation for outstanding leadership.
- Reporting directly to the Board of Management and establishing key strategic goals for the School, which will be set within the framework of the Eaglesvale Schools Strategic Plan.
- Working closely with the school Chaplain, Deputy Head, Heads of Departments, Form and Class Teachers to ensure the effective development and delivery of the School’s strategic goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Education Degree from an international recognised university
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration would be an advantage
- Experience in independent / Trust schools at senior management level
- Experience in working with Cambridge syllabus at IGCSE and Advanced level
- A high level of computer literacy
