Job Summary

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Investment Officer at a local institution whose mandate is to facilitate access to finance for players in the agricultural sector. This position reports to the Investments Manager.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The position exists to receive facility applications, file, capture, maintain and retrieve facility applications records and supporting documentation in the Facilities Management Systems for processing , analysis and reporting; carry out due diligence checks, assess, analyze and evaluate credit risk on received project proposals; process the facility request and prepare facility proposal report for review and evaluation by the Investments Manager for consideration by the granting authorities; ensure sound portfolio management, timely revenue collections and facility repayments for the portfolio.

• Investments, Credit and Loans Portfolio Administration & Filling

• Investments, Credit and Loans Portfolio Management & Monitoring

• Risk Management

• Administration of Departmental Travel and Subsistence Payments Processing & Justification

• Researches and analyses business development opportunities

• Assists in preparation of business development proposals write ups and presentations.

• Assist the Investments Manager in developing and nurturing mutually beneficial relationships with

implementing partners and other stakeholders.

• Reviews and evaluates performance of implementing partners and collaborative stakeholders; and

recommends timeous corrective actions to table for consideration.

• Project site visits and Meetings

• Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting

• Manages and supervises all collateral and security perfection documentation and processes.

• Manages and supervises all credit and loans operational process to ensure compliance with the Credit and

Loans operational policy and procedures manual.

Qualifications And Experience

Qualifications and experience required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics, Banking & Finance/Development Finance/ Development

Studies/ Project Management or Equivalent is required.

Experience:

• 3 years banking or project management experience including analyzing and appraising facility proposals
