Job Purpose
Under the overall supervision of the Assistant Director – Mergers & Acquisitions and the direct supervision of the Chief Investigating Officer, the Investigation Officer shall conduct thorough and timely investigations of mergers and to assess their potential impact on competition in the economy of Zimbabwe, in accordance with the provisions of the Competition Act Chapter 14:28. The Investigation Officer will gather, analyse, and evaluate information to provide evidence-based recommendations to the Chief Economist and the Assistant Director – Mergers & Acquisitions.
Key Duties/ Responsibilities
1.Identify, through market intelligence, imminent and notifiable mergers that may be or would have been consummated without notification to the Commission in violation of the Competition Act Chapter 14:28.
