Key Responsibilities

• Assists in the development and execution of the annual audit plan, ensuring comprehensive coverage of operational, financial and compliance areas.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems.
• Review accuracy and reliability of financial records and reporting.
• Assists in reviewing sustainability initiatives and ethical compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify areas for improvement in processes and controls.
• Assists in reviewing and provide constructive feedback on audit findings, reports, and recommendations.
• Identifies systems failures, root causes, implications of observations and provide practical recommendations.
• Prepares and submits summary of findings for areas audited.
• Assists in developing comprehensive audit objectives and procedures on audit strategy for routine audit assignments and investigations.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure understanding and implementation of audit recommendations.
• Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and issues within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA, ACCA, CISA, CFE, CA, CIMA) a prerequisite.
• Registered Public Accountant with Public Accountant and Auditors Board.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing in Public Sector.
• Proficiency in audit-related software and Microsoft Office tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with management and external auditors.
