VACANCY
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following vacant position.

POST: INTERNAL AUDITOR – Grade 10

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Determining internal audit scope and developing risk based plans,
• Performing the full audit cycle including risk management and control management
• Performing follow-up procedures to monitor timely implementation of management’s corrective actions
• Conducting special investigations when need arises
• Preparing internal audit reports which are supported by appropriate audit evidence for implementation by management
• Managing audits within time to ensure timely use of resources
• Examine and evaluate the effectiveness and application of risk assessment methodologies and risk management procedures
• Ensure that Department risk profiles are in place
• Ensure that policies are in place and are being adhered to
• Supervision of subordinates.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or a
• Professional qualification in Accounting such as CIA, CGAIZ (formerly CIS), ACCAand CIMAor equivalent is also acceptable.
• A Masters in Accounting or Auditing is an added advantage
• At least 3 years’ experience in Local Governance at middle level management.
• At least 30 years of age.
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office and Pastel Accounting Package/Software
• Clean Class 4 Drivers licence an added advantage
