Job Summary
To determine the level of compliance and effectiveness of controls for financial and operational activities of the Company.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Planning of Audit assignments for the Company.
• Review of the audit scope and approach for each project
• Carrying out audit tests (compliance and substantive) to ascertain the adequacy and effectiveness of controls in relation to all financial and operational activities of the Company.
• Reviewing procedures and records for adequacy to accomplish intended objectives and appraising policies and plans related to the activity or function under audit review.
• Proposing improvement in management controls designed to safeguard company resources and promote growth in all Company operations during audits.
• Compile sectional draft reports to ensure that all facts are authentic, report is clear, language and diction used capture all facts on hand and ideas are correctly organized.
• Periodic reports to the management and board.
• Perform follow-up audits to assess the adequacy of the actions taken by management in response to control weaknesses identified by Internal Audit.
• Advising the management and board on the company’s operations that might have direct or indirect impact upon performing risk assessment and audit procedures.
• Attending board meeting.
• Assessing general compliance to both internal policies and regulatory requirements that the company operates in.
• Conducting different types of audits as per the management and board.
Qualifications And Experience
- Degree in accounting, finance, or related field – 4 years
• Part ACIS, ACCA, CIA, CIMA or CISA – 3 years
5 years experience
