Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the job holder will be responsible for reviewing all activities of the Agency towards value addition to improve operational efficiency, governance and internal control systems using Risk Based Approach to Audit (RBIAT).

Key Responsibilities
- Reviews the system of internal controls to help provide assurance that applicable laws, regulations, Agency policies and procedures are complied with judiciously.
- Assists in the examination of financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with institutional policies, regulations and applicable laws.
- Makes appropriate recommendations for the improvement of internal controls and accounting procedures, and researches and adopts best practices where appropriate.
- Execute audit assignments from planning to report writing.
- Conducts value for money audits, taking cognisance of the economy, efficiency and effectiveness of Agency operations.
- Assists in reviewing of corporate governance systems.
Requirements
- A first degree in Accounting, Auditing or related field.
- Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors-Zimbabwe.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of ICT audit and use of related audit tools such as Teammate ICL, IDEA, Excel will be an added advantage.
- Analytical skills and competence in system reviews, investigative reviews and report writing.
