The primary function of this role is to manage and supervise all internal auditing activities, analyse the financial processes, identifying risks within the business practices and evaluating the controls put in place for the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange business. The Internal Audit Manager will report to the Chairman of Audit and Risk Committee and the Chief Executive Officer.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Planning and executing internal audits
- Prepare reports of audit findings and make recommendations to the business
- Interviewing and consulting employees and examining business operations
- Carry out presentations to management and perform follow up on management interventions
- Ensure the business complies with all relevant policies, industry regulations and government legislation
- Provide support to the wider financial team on additional projects
- Perform any other duties as delegated by the Chairman of the audit and risk committee and the CEO
Qualifications And Experience
- Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in finance
- Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Internal Audit
- Qualified (CA/ ACCA / IIA or similar)
Skills and experience
- A minimum of five years relevant experience
- Experience in an audit firm would be an advantage
- A strategic approach to Audit management
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Strong familiarity with information security, risk management, and financial services industry compliance requirements.
- Must be able to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and interact with partners and customers directly.
- Exceptionally self-motivated and directed, withtop-notch interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
