INTERNAL AUDIT ASSISTANT – GRADE 9 – Gokwe North Rural District 194 views

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out Risk Based Audits as per Risk Based Internal Audit Plan;
• Carrying out spot check on regular basis on cash, inventory items & utilization of resources by departments;
• Maintaining all files (Audit reports, audit working papers & correspondences) for ease review;
• Reviewing accounting records and financial data to check for accuracy;
• Ensuring compliance with Council policies and procedures;
• Preparation of draft internal audit reports;
• Any other duties assigned by the Internal Auditor.

Requirements

• Degree in Auditing, Forensic Accounting, Finance and any other related programs.
• At least 2 years post qualification Audit experience.
• Local Authorities experience is an added advantage.
• Driver’s License is an added advantage.
• At least 26 years old.
• Excellent report writing, presentation and communication skills;
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and International Public Sector Accounting Standards.
