Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following posts which have arisen within the Insurance and Pensions Commission.
INSURANCE AND MICROINSURANCE DEPARTMENT
Job: Insurance Analyst (3) (Grade C5)
Reports to Principal Analysts – Insurance
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Drafts responses to stakeholders.
Drafts and enforces compliance with regulations;
Analyses insurance products for registration;
Undertakes fit and probity for Senior Managers, Directors, and shareholders;
Analyses applications for risk externalization requests;
Handles complaints;
Report writing;
Carries off-site and on-site inspections on regulated entities focusing on market conduct issues;
Compiles and analyze quarterly returns submitted by the industry and
Performs any other duties within the scope of the job.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidates should have any of the following qualifications & experience:
a) A degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Accountancy, Law, Insurance and Risk Management, or related disciplines from a reputable university.
b) A postgraduate qualification or progress towards attainment of a postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
c) At least three years of relevant post-qualification experience to the Commission.
