VACANCY
The Health Professions Authority of Zimbabwe (HPA) is a national umbrella regulatory body responsible for the registration and regulation of all health service institutions in Zimbabwe, as outlined in Section 5 of the Health Professions Act [Chapter 27:19].
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with the Health Professions Act [Chapter 27:19].
- Prepare comprehensive omnibus inspection reports reflecting the actual on-ground conditions.
- Provide professional advice to healthcare practitioners on minimum operational requirements.
- Maintain professional and effective communication with registered health professionals.
- Ensure proper application of all revenue collection policies.
- Uphold departmental Standard Operating Procedures during all inspections.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Deputy Secretary General.
Qualifications, Attributes and Skills
- A health-related qualification eligible for registration under one of the eight Health Professions Councils in Zimbabwe.
- Demonstrated ability to compile accurate and detailed reports.
- A clean Class 4 driver’s license with proven driving experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience as a health professional.
- Proficiency in IT, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
