INNOVATION HUB MANAGER – BOOST Fellowship 138 views

The central role of the Hub Manager will be to support adolescents and young people aged 14-24 to gain innovation and business skills for the development of appropriate home-bred innovations and technologies to power up social, economic and environmental impact for their communities.

Duties And Responsibilities:

-The Innovation Hub Manager will be responsible for recruitment of adolescents and young people between the ages of 14-24 and registering them into the system
-Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Innovation Hub;
-Coordinating projects coordination and development of Innovation Hub processes and procedures
-Creating a conducive environment and platform for accelerating product development
-Providing strategic leadership in the Hub, utilization and management of space, equipment, resources and schedules of activities at the Innovation Hub;
-Ensuring that adolescents and young people use innovation and business skills to ensure that all people thrive in a sustainable world.
-Overseeing the progress and successful completion of innovation projects,
-Contributing towards dissemination and communication activities managed by the innovation hub,
-Coordinating efforts to implement standard operating procedures and key performance indicators relevant to the innovation hub and coordinating the administrative and financial for innovation.
-The Hub Manager will also be responsible for the identification of new opportunities for technology transfer, Intellectual Property (IP), and entrepreneurship stemming from the Hub activities,
-Liaising with industrial partners and stakeholders to develop collaboration opportunities based on the expertise and goals of the Hub.

Qualifications And Experience:

-Bachelor’s Degree in Business Development, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and relevant Social sciences degree.
-Minimum 3 years of experience in a position with similar duties and responsibilities
-Administration and Management: advanced knowledge of business and management principles involved in project coordination, strategic planning, risk management, resource allocation and coordination.
-Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship: advanced knowledge of managing IP and entrepreneurial processes.
-Have proven experience working with young entrepreneurs, adolescents and young people
-Possesses Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity and Innovation skills
