INFORMATION SYSTEMS AUDITORS

The incumbents shall be responsible to the Information Systems & Technical Audit Manager.

PRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plans and executes risk-based Information Technology audits using established internal and Information Technology auditing standards;
2. Identifies potential vulnerabilities, risks and weaknesses in Information Technology systems by reviewing their design and implementation, as well as their ongoing operations and maintenance;
3. Assesses the adequacy and effectiveness of the company’s Information Technology controls, processes and procedures and provides reasonable assurance whether they are present and functioning as intended;
4. Ensures that audit documents (narratives, process flows, risk assessments, programs, work papers, reports, procedures performed) support conclusions are reached;
5. Identifies internal controls and control weaknesses and provides value added recommendations;
6. Delivers reports and communicates observations, issues, risks and recommendations;
7. Assists the IS & Technical Audit Manager with the internal audit departments’ annual audit plan and Information Technology risk assessments;
8. Provides assistance in investigations related to fraud or other issues;
9. Prepares and presents audit results and recommendations to management;
10. Conducts presentations at meetings with auditees and management as needed;
11. Conducts follow ups on prior audit findings to review implementation of agreed audit recommendations on observed control weaknesses.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A Bachelors degree in Information Systems or Business Studies or Computer Science;
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is a must;
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) is an added advantage;
• Three to five years relevant working experience in IS Auditing;
• Knowledge in data analysis and visualization tools such as ACL, TeamMate, MS COBIT and ISO 2700 is preferred.
