INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION
TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

REPORTS TO: MANAGER FINANCE, ADMINISTRATION AND HUMAN RESOURCES

The Position:

The position requires a professional person who will manage Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services, develops and implements management systems, provides information management tools and technology infrastructure for the Commission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and maintain ICT systems and databases, including networks, servers, and telecommunications;
• Maintain the Commission’s information systems and to advise on matters relating to In formation and Communication Technology;
• Ensure the availability, performance and security of IT systems and applications at the Commission;
• Perform systems, network, communications and data base management and administration;
• Set up, configure and maintain computer systems and issue password and login.
• Prepare lender specifications and advise on the selection of computer hardware and software, as required;
• Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance of hardware and systems software;
• Carry out internal audits of (he quality information systems of theCommission;
• Design, develop, implement and update the website of the Commission;
• Perform such other duties directly related to the main duties listed above or related to the delivery of the output and results expected from the ICT Officer/Systems Administrator in the roles ascribed to them according to their postings;
• Provide timely and quality service technical support, and advice to Staff requests to ensure proper user access to business data and in formal ion; and
• Maintain inventory of ICT equipment, hardware, and software and ensure adequate supply and functionality, in collaboration with relevant staff.

• Installed and con figured hardware and software components;
• Repaired or replaced damaged hardware;
• Up to date systems to enable operations;
• Secure environment protected from intrusions and viruses; and
• Up to date software and infrastructure technology.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in Computer Science or related fields
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field;
• At least five (5) years’ experience;
• Experience in trouble shooting systems;
• Familiarity with MS Office, Office 360;
• Skilled in database programming and software installation;
• Proficient with most operating systems; and
• Excellent written and communication skills.
