Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect micro-loan clients, market vendors, tuck shop owners, mobile traders, cross-border dealers
- Form and support group lending structures of 5-15 members, guiding them through the full cycle
- Collect and verify client documents: National IDs, mobile money statements, character references, trading evidence
- Educate clients, particularly women and first-time borrowers, on loan products, obligations, and responsible borrowing
- Build a high-quality referral portfolio with strong repayment discipline
- Submit weekly activity reports and meet agreed referral targets each month
- Serve as a trusted, professional face of Wisrod in markets, townships, and communities
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years micro-lending or group loan experience
- Hands-on knowledge of informal trader communities
- Experience in group formation and joint-liability lending
- Ability to communicate loan terms clearly and simply
- 5 O-Levels including English and Mathematics
- Certificate in Microfinance, Community Banking, or Finance (added advantage)
- Clean track record, no financial misconduct and active presence and trust in your local market area
- Fluency in Shona, Ndebele, or the dominant local language
- Empathy, patience, and genuine drive to help clients succeed
