Polypackaging (Pvt) Ltd is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our Maintenance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and production machinery to ensure maximum equipment reliability and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems, equipment and machinery within the manufacturing plant.
  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery to minimize breakdowns and downtime.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults on industrial equipment and restoring operations promptly.
  • Conducting routine inspections of electrical installations to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Installing, testing and commissioning new electrical equipment and machinery.
  • Maintaining and repairing electric motors, control panels, drives, sensors, switchgear and lighting systems.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Ensuring compliance with electrical safety regulations, company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Recording maintenance activities, repairs and equipment history in maintenance logs.
  • Assisting in the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
  • Responding promptly to emergency machine breakdowns to ensure continuity of production.
  • Working closely with the Production and Maintenance teams to improve machine reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Monitoring electrical spare parts and reporting shortages to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping in the workshop and electrical work areas.
  • Carrying out any other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should possess a National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with at least five (5) years’ experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with polypropylene woven bag manufacturing machinery or similar plastic processing equipment will be an added advantage.
