Key Responsibilities

  • Use audit software to develop scripts/supplementary programs, which may not be available in the software, which are needed for performing specialized audit functions.
  • Use audit software to perform audits of high-risk transactions such as supplier payments, movements in and out of the payroll.
  • Identify and evaluate risks in the University’s ICT Systems.
  • Examine and evaluate general controls in all the University’s ICT Systems.
  • Evaluate the extent to which ICT Systems adequately satisfy operational requirements and identify essential improvements.
  • Use audit software to check and evaluate the integrity of data held in different applications.
  • Evaluate the strength of the University’s computer systems against cyber threats and crimes.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/Business and Computing Science/Business Management System Design and Applications/Cyber Security and Auditing or Data Analytics or equivalent.
  • Qualification or enrolment in Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or similar certification will be an added distinct advantage.
  • At least two years relevant working experience
