POST: HUMAN RESOURCE CLERK
Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting to the Assistant Registrar, the incumbent will among other things be asked to;
Maintain and administer employee personal files and ensure their accuracy
HRIS data entry for all employees; processing employment changes to personal information, status changes as required
Prioritize an effective recruitment and selection process that focuses on upfront collaboration with Administrative Assistant for Non-Teaching Staff
Assist in setting up practical interviews when necessary
Processing applications from capturing of summaries to creating of files with a high level of accuracy and efficiency
Assist in the scheduling of shortlisting and interview meetings, sort/distribute meeting packs
Responsible for conducting reference-quality checks on successful candidates
Conduct employee onboarding training from entry point to the work station
Assist in administering employees benefit documentation
Maintain department supplies i.e. ordering departmental stationery
Communicate updates to superiors orally and in writing
Maintaining staff return document for the Non-Teaching Staff
Assist walk-in customers in the Human Resource Section
Direct visitors and employees to appropriate offices
Assist in support of special projects and assignments as requested
Assist in the secretary’s desk when service requested
Perform any other task or function as assigned
Qualifications And Experience
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
5 ‘O’ levels including English Language.
At least a National Diploma in Human Resource Management.
Possession of professional qualifications such as the International Computer Drivers Licence (ICDL) or Institute of People Management (IPMZ) will be considered an added advantage.
At least two years working experience in similar functions.
The post requires a high degree of accuracy and confidentially.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Good communication skills both oral and written;
Should possess good interpersonal skills;
Good organizational skills;
Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel.
