HISTORY TEACHER – Hellenic Academy

Key Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Deputy Headmaster (Academics) and the Head of History & Classics.
• Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across all levels, including Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level History.
• Plan, assess, and evaluate pupil progress in line with curriculum and school expectations.
• Maintain high standards of classroom management and academic rigour.
• Contribute positively to the afternoon co-curricular programme and wider school activities.
• Support the department’s academic development through collaboration, planning, and innovation.

Requirements

• A well-qualified graduate in History or a closely related subject.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching and a genuine passion for History.
• Relevant teaching experience, preferably within the Cambridge International curriculum.
• A thorough understanding of History syllabi and effective teaching methodologies.
• A recognised teaching qualification would be a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate learners.
