HEAVY PLANT OPERATOR (Grade 8)
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Plant Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will operate various types of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring safety and efficiency in all operations.
Qualifications:
- At least five Ordinary level passes including English language.
- Valid class 2 driver’s licence.
- Valid Heavy Plant Operator license.
- At least five years of experience operating heavy machinery.
- Sound understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- No criminal record.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy plant machinery including excavators, bulldozers, and cranes.
- Conduct daily safety checks and maintenance of equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members.
- Maintain accurate records of hours worked and machine usage.
- Assist in training new operators as needed.
