A reputable organisation is seeking a highly accomplished senior leader to head its Training and Professional Development Institute. The role requires a strategic, visionary, and academically grounded professional capable of driving excellence in judicial-level education, digital learning, research, and institutional capability development.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership & institutional positioning: Provide direction, develop strategic and operational plans, and position the institute as a centre of excellence.
- Professional education & CPD: Design and deliver high-impact training programmes, curricula, and competency-based development frameworks.
- Capacity building: Lead skills audits, training needs analyses, and capability-building initiatives for diverse professional groups.
- Digital learning & e-LMS management: Oversee digital learning platforms, blended learning models, and innovative pedagogical approaches.
- Research & knowledge management: Lead research agendas, produce knowledge products, and strengthen evidence-based decision-making.
- Quality assurance & M&E: Implement quality standards, evaluate programme impact, and benchmark against international best practice.
- Governance & stakeholder engagement: Strengthen governance processes, manage partnerships, and support high-level committees.
- Resource mobilisation & financial management: Manage budgets, ensure value for money, and secure external support for programmes.
- Human capital leadership: Lead teams, build a high-performance culture, and drive professional and ethical excellence.
- Change management: Support institutional reforms, digital transformation initiatives, and adoption of new systems and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognised institution.
- Master’s degree in Law (LLM) or related field; a doctoral degree is an added advantage.
- Additional qualifications in judicial education, leadership, public administration, or digital learning are desirable.
- Minimum 10 years’ post-qualification experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership.
- Demonstrated experience in judicial/legal training, curriculum development, research, capacity building, and organisational development.
- Proven exposure to digital learning, e-LMS management, or innovation in training delivery.
- Strong strategic planning, leadership, stakeholder engagement, and change-management capabilities.
- High levels of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to public-service values.
