The Head Supply Chain will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of the end-to-end supply chain function to ensure efficient procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, contract administration, vendor management, and supply planning to support business growth, operational excellence, network expansion, and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the organisation’s supply chain and procurement strategy aligned to NetOne’s overall business objectives.
  • Lead strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and supplier governance functions.
  • Negotiate and manage high-value supplier and service contracts.
  • Manage procurement and supply planning for Network Infrastructure, ICT Systems, Digital Platforms, Operational Materials, and Capital Projects.
  • Drive cost optimisation, operational efficiency, and value creation across the supply chain.
  • Ensure effective inventory management and minimisation of stock losses, obsolescence, and supply disruptions.
  • Oversee importation, customs clearance, and logistics coordination for telecommunications equipment and related technologies.
  • Strengthen supplier relationships and ensure supplier performance management.
  • Manage supply chain risks, governance, compliance, and internal control processes.
  • Support network rollout, business continuity, and technology transformation initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to Procurement.
  • Lead and develop a high-performance supply chain team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Supply Chain Management/ Procurement/ Logistics, or a related field.
  • A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
  • A professional qualification such as CIPS/ CILT.
  • At least 8 years’ relevant experience in Supply Chain Management, of which 5 years should be at a Senior Management level.
  • Strong experience in Strategic Sourcing, Contract Negotiation, Procurement Governance, Logistics, and Supplier Management.
  • Sound understanding of import management, forex-sensitive procurement, and Zimbabwean business operating dynamics.
  • Strong strategic and commercial thinking.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Supply chain optimisation and planning.
