POST : HEAD REVENUE COLLECTION
GRADE : 8
LOCATION : ROWAN MARTIN BUILDING
REPORTING TO: FINANCE DIRECTOR
JOB PURPOSE
The incumbent will be responsible for providing overall leadership for the formulation and implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of broad commercial and revenue collection policies, procedures and strategies for all Council activities to ensure efficient and effective
management in line with stated financial management regulations, policies and statutory requirements.

Credit Control and revenue streams
Debtors Book and Collections Management
KEY DUTIES
Developing and implementing Debt Collection policies, strategies and procedures for
Revenue Collection.
Coordination, design and implementation of robust revenue collection strategies.
Revenue Assurance Management.
Evaluating impact of government legislation and policies on the commercial and
revenue collection strategies.
Formulating and implementing revenue collection policies and procedures.
Overseeing the continuous improvement of billing processes and procedures to
maximize revenue collected.
Conducting regular market research and analysis to identify new revenue streams
and increase their potential.
Developing innovative service strategies procedures and policy provision in order to
achieve the highest possible revenue collection rates.
Liaises with ICT to integrate and streamline revenue collection systems.
Collaborating with other departments to maximize revenue collection.
Prepare and submit regular reports on revenue collection activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business Studies/Economics
A professional qualification in Accounting or equivalent in Finance
Qualification in Credit Management an added advantage
Master’s Degree in Business Administration
EXPERIENCE
At least five years relevant working experience with 4 years at managerial level.
