Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation and delivery of high-quality research, surveys and business intelligence projects.
- Understand client needs and translate them into research solutions that inform decisions and strategy.
- Oversee all stages of the research process – design, sampling, data collection, quality assurance, analysis, insights and reporting.
- Manage and develop a team of researchers, data analysts and field teams.
- Ensure data integrity, methodological rigour and ethical standards in all research activities.
- Generate actionable insights, dashboards and reports that drive business performance.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to provide strategic intelligence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders.
- Drive innovation in research methods, data analytics and business intelligence tools.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Business Management, Marketing, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Data Science or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Market Research, Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Development Studies or related discipline strongly preferred.
- Professional qualification/certification in research methodology, data analytics, monitoring & evaluation or project management is an added advantage.
- 7 – 12 years’ relevant experience in research, data analysis, market intelligence, business intelligence or consulting.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing research projects and teams.
- Proven experience across multiple sectors (e.g. financial services, FMCG, telecoms, NGOs, public sector, agriculture, retail, SMEs).
- Strong proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods and statistical analysis.
- Advanced skills in data analysis tools (SPSS, Stata, Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar).
- Excellent report writing, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
