A leading Retail & Wholesale business is seeking a strategic Head of Procurement with significant expatriate experience to bring a global perspective to local operations. We’re on the hunt for a visionary leader with global retail acumen to infuse international standards and best practices into our client’s local operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and executing procurement strategies to optimize product sourcing and category profitability.
- Overseeing the end-to-end supply chain for retail stock, ensuring consistent availability and cost efficiency.
- Negotiating high-level trading terms with local and international suppliers to maximize margins and rebates.
- Driving operational excellence by introducing international best practices to the buying and merchandising function.
- Leading and upskilling the procurement team to navigate complex market dynamics with a strategic, global outlook.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior procurement role within the Retail or FMCG sector (Essential).
- Mandatory expatriate experience with a track record of adapting global standards to new markets.
- Strong commercial acumen with expertise in category management and international trade.
- Relevant Degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, or Procurement (CIPS preferred).
