PETERHOUSE GIRLS HEAD OF MUSIC AT PETERHOUSE GIRLS (To start September 2026; possible January 2027 start may be considered) Role Purpose: To teach Music to IGCSE level and to run a successful Music Department within an independent boarding school environment that values academic, sporting, outward-bound, musical, and cultural traditions.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Music to IGCSE level.
Run a successful Music Department.
Prepare choirs, orchestra, and individuals for concerts, musicals, Eisteddfod, and Allied Arts.
Work collaboratively with an experienced and enthusiastic music team within the Peterhouse Group of Schools.

Requirements

Graduate of a well-renowned university.
Ability to play piano at least to grade 8 level.
Experience teaching the Cambridge International Examinations syllabus (advantageous).
In sympathy with the Anglican traditions and ethos of Peterhouse.
Understanding of the culture and commitment required in a full boarding school.
