Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Group Head of IT Infrastructure and Architecture to ensure awareness of the Infrastructure Architecture and roadmap.
  • Support the Group Head of IT, Infrastructure and Architecture in developing the strategic vision and architectural direction for infrastructure within the Group.
  • Research new technologies to be utilized in the organization for infrastructure efficiency.
  • Investigate, understand, and document the current infrastructure environment.
  • Develop and maintain policies, guidelines and processes for activities within the sub-unit.
  • Supervise all system documentation for the technology infrastructure architecture unit.
  • Provide consultancy to support platform projects and create ad-hoc infrastructure designs.
  • Provide consultancy to clients about technical infrastructure.
  • Analyze project requirements to design and implement multi-layer infrastructure.
  • Determine client requirements to provide designs for complex Hybrid technology solutions.
  • Design and document infrastructure solutions that meet or exceed requirements utilizing reference architecture.
  • Create infrastructure designs for the implementation of new solutions.
  • Define infrastructure architecture standards that are in line with customer, technology, and industry standards.
  • Supervise infrastructure solution designs to fulfill functional and technical requirements and align with processes and standards.
  • Oversee incident resolution according to incident management guidelines, ensuring timely response to and completion of calls.
  • Monitor proactive capacity management activities on IT Infrastructure to prevent service disruptions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of new technologies into the computer system infrastructure.
  • Manage changes and system enhancements as per CBZ Change Management guidelines.
  • Lead and participate in group technology initiatives. Mentor technology infrastructure architecture support staff.
  • Ensure team performance and professional development. Analyze customer issues in the existing infrastructure and propose solutions to fix them.
  • Propose alternatives to existing solutions that will lead to better performance, useful new features, and easier maintenance.
  • Serve as the key contact and escalation point for vendors and service providers.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
  • Select and deploy appropriate hardware and software solutions.
  • Oversee the audit of customer infrastructure, gather information on hardware, networks, storage, and servers, and compile an audit report.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with IT Infrastructure architect solutions.
  • Ensure all audit exceptions are promptly addressed to prevent recurrence.
  • Plan, implement, and maintain technologies and platforms supporting a complex landscape of data centers.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Professional certification in Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP),Hardware Asset Management Specialist Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • At least 5 years work experience in technology infrastructure management, with firsthand experience in managing complex infrastructure solutions.
  • Proficient in Infrastructure Design and Management, Network and Systems Administration
  • Understanding of cloud computing, including Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Knowledge of virtualization methods such as VMware vSphere, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, and Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Proficient in maintaining and upgrading IT systems, including servers and networks.
