The Head of Finance is a senior role responsible for the overall coordination and integration of the bank’s financial planning, management reporting, and budgeting functions. Acting as a key advisor to the CFO, the Head of Finance ensures that financial strategies, policies, and frameworks support the bank’s strategic goals. The role provides oversight of the Financial Planning and Financial Management teams, ensuring high-quality, timely, and accurate financial insights to support effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
-
Partner with the CFO to shape and drive the bank’s financial strategy, aligning financial objectives with corporate goals.

Oversee the development and implementation of robust financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure regulatory compliance and sound financial management.
Financial Planning & Budgeting

Supervise the Head of Financial Planning to ensure comprehensive short-term and long-term financial planning, including forecasts and stress testing.

Lead the coordination and consolidation of the bank’s annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with business priorities and risk appetite.

Provide analytical support and challenge to business units during financial planning cycles.
Financial Performance Management
-
Oversee the Head of Financial Management to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful management reporting.

Analyze financial performance against strategic and operational objectives; identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

Present key findings and recommendations to the CFO and Executive Management.
Governance & Compliance
-
Ensure financial management practices comply with internal policies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and oversight.
Team Leadership & Development
-
Lead and mentor the Financial Planning and Financial Management teams, ensuring clarity of objectives and high-performance standards.

Foster collaboration across finance sub-functions and with other departments for integrated financial decision-making.
Experience
-
At least 10 years of progressive experience in financial management roles, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.

Proven leadership experience with oversight of planning and reporting functions.

Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards applicable to banks.
