AFC Commercial Bank, a subsidiary of AFC Holdings seeks to recruit a Head of Finance. Reporting to the Executive Director-Finance, the Head of Finance will be responsible for financial and management reporting; executing and co-ordinating the budgeting and fore-casting process.

Duties And Responsibilities

Co-ordinating the reporting process in Finance and deliver all financial and management reports in the most efficient and accurate manner in line with stated accounting policies, IF. and statutory requirements.
Co-developing the Bank’s strategy.
Budget preparation.
Preparation of Board packs.
Co-ordination of year end audits, liaising with both Internal and External auditors.
Provide the information required for all statutory, field examinations and audits.
Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls, periodic monitoring of activities and timely resolution of financial risk issues.
Ensure that all accounting activities adhere to statutory and financial regulatory requirements
Job skills and competencies
Proven experience as a Head of Finance or equivalent position in a commercial bank or similar environment.
Solid understanding of financial management and accounting.
Strong stakeholder relations acumen.
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
Experience in team management and leadership.

Qualifications And Experience

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
Chartered Accountant CA
. Relevant postgraduate qualification such as a Masters in Business Administration Degree (MBA) or Masters in Business Leadership (MBL) will be an added advantage.
7 to 10 years working experience in finance, 5 years of which should be at Senior Management level.
