Head Of Department Social Services(Grade 10)

Main Duties

• To produce departmental plans and budgets on time.
• Supervision of Health and Growth Point staff
• To initiate the expansion of Education and Health Services.
• To ensure prompt delivery of drugs and provisions of clinics.
• Coordinating and mobilizing of communities in the implementation of projects viz donor and council projects
• To prepare reports for Social Services Committee meetings.
• To attend to Committee and Council meetings.
• To promptly action or ensure letters in the departments are actioned.
• To ensure proper election and effective functioning of school development committees in all Council schools.
• To recommend for repairs and maintenance of buildings to be embarked department.
• To allocate staff houses.
• To assist and liaise with Administration and Personnel Department in the recruitment and dismissal of Health Personnel.
• To guide and support the functioning of Area Committees.
• To ensure refuse collection.
• To promptly supervise the cleanliness of Growth Points.
• To run the cemetery services efficiently.
• To ensure provision civil protection activities in the district.
• To write monthly report for the department.
• To ensure monthly returns are done.
• To coordinate all NGO activities in the district

Qualifications

• A degree from a recognized university in administration, local government or social science.
• A least three years post qualification experience in middle management in an administrative or social science position. Local government experience is an added advantage.
• At least 40-45 years,
• A citizen of Zimbabwe
• A clean criminal record
• A clean record of service within the local government fraternity.
