Tongogara Rural District Council, invites applications from suitably qualified end experienced person to fill the following position.
Head of Department Environment and Natural Resources : Grade 10
Duties And Responsibilities
To lead and provide day to day guidance and advice on environment safeguard compliance issues
To facilitate the implementation of the Environment Committee recommendations in line with Councils’ ethics, policies and procedures.
To advise and lead clients on the improvement of environment policies and projects implementation Supervise performance of the reporting staff , providing clear direction and regular monitoring and feedback on performance
Resolve environment issues, compliance risks for complex and sensitive projects.
Qualifications And Experience
-A degree from a recognised university in Environmental Science and or Environment and Geography studies.
-At least three years post qualification experience in middle management position or in a similar position.
– Local government experience is an added advantage
– At least 30 years old
– A citizen of Zimbabwe
– A clean record of service within the Local government fraternity
-Drivers licence is an added advantage.
